The Welsh phrase 'Pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad',translated in to English from Welsh, means;'True am I to my country!.'The words are taken from the Welsh National Anthem;'Mae Hen wlad Fy Nhadau,' which translated into English,means ;'The Land of my Fathers.'

It is,perhaps,most frequently seen on the reverse of the Welsh edition of the British,£1 (One Pound) coin.
